While studying music at university together, Paris and Bob started off playing acoustic covers, before quickly realising there was potential for more. Paris’s vocal ability and keen ear for melody clicked perfectly with Bob’s instrumental skills in the songwriting process. Taking influences from the folk-pop genre, the two quickly found their sound with ambient acoustic ballads, while still taking inspiration from other musical styles such as soul and rock. The sombre sound of the vocals with the reflective content of the lyrics is often the heart of P&B songs, making emotion the driving force in their music.
