follow url PART-TIME MODEL is the brainchild of five of Leeds’ most exciting multi-talented musicians: Lucy Tessier, Benjamin Smith, Rafael Mendes-Brown, Charlie Isaac, and Charlie Wilberforce. Hailing from diverse regions across the UK, the band was formed in the heart of West Yorkshire in the spring of 2022. Armed with an evocative lyrical flare, and fusion of eclectic instrumental styles, PART-TIME MODEL offers a stark soundtrack accompanying the chaotic world of today. Exploring a variety of themes such as the relentlessness of adult life and mental health, their visceral sound and honest lyricism are without bounds and impossible to tie down to a single genre. Whilst lead vocalist, Lucy Tessier, takes her lyrical influence from the likes of Fiona Apple, Dry Cleaning, and English Teacher, the sonic prowess of Talking Heads, Crumb, and Radiohead are central to the band’s instrumentals. Having waited almost two years to launch their highly anticipated project, the quintet are finally ready to invite eager listeners into the world of PART-TIME MODEL.
